Early summer breeze, the Sea of Japan, and 250km of excitement once again

We are pleased to announce that the "4th Tottori UmiNami 250", an ultra-long cycling event along the beautiful coastline "Tottori UmiNami Road", has been confirmed.

Perfect Conditions

Held on May 31 (Sun), before the rainy season. The best season for cycling with refreshing early summer weather along the Sea of Japan coast.

Overwhelming Scale

An approximately 250km long course spanning east to west of Tottori Prefecture. Aid stations with local gourmet food will support you throughout.

Overview

Eligibility

  • Healthy individuals aged 16 and over (minors must have parental/guardian consent)
  • Those who can follow all event rules, traffic laws, and proper riding etiquette
  • Those who agree to the terms in the waiver

Participant Limit

First 300 applicants

Entry Fee

12,000 yen (tax & insurance included)

Insurance

Injuries that occur during the event are covered within the scope of the accident insurance policy taken out by the organizer.

Equipment & Items to Bring

  • Properly maintained bicycle, helmet, and gloves (all required)
  • Lights and reflective materials are required; lights must be on while passing through tunnels
  • Carry a puncture repair kit, portable pump, and spare tubes
  • Carry adequate nutrition, drinks, rain gear, a mobile phone, and a mobile battery, etc.

This event is not a race. There will be no road closures.

Course

An ultra-long course of approximately 250km that goes back and forth along the "Tottori Uminami Road" overlooking the Sea of Japan.
Since the course is structured to return to the starting point after the turnaround point, you can also choose to retire upon reaching about 150km (the starting point).
For safety reasons, please be sure to notify the staff when retiring.

※ As there are some tunnels and sections with many ups and downs, please participate with proper safety measures and pace management.

Standard Course: Approximately 250km

The obtained elevation may be displayed slightly higher than the actual value. The actual elevation is approximately 1,592m.

Japan's Longest Short Course: Approximately 150km

※ Please be especially careful when riding during times with heavy traffic.

Please pay special attention at the following locations. Obey traffic rules and follow the guidance of staff to ensure safe riding.

At the aid stations, please make sure to complete the checkpoint verification on both the outbound and return routes before using any food or beverages.
Please note that if verification is not completed at every checkpoint, your finish will not be considered official.

*We will distribute the waiver, bib number stickers, etc. during the check-in.
*Please come in person because there will be important instructions given at check-in.

Event Day

May 31, 2026 (Sun)

  • 05:00 AM – Rider confirmation
  • 06:00 AM – Start
  • Until 19:00 PM – Finish time limit

If you exceed the time limit, you may be asked to retire from the event for safety reasons.
