Dear all, thank you for your patience.
We are pleased to announce that the 3rd Tottori UmiNami 250 will be held this year.

Recap of Last Year and Our Apologies

At the 2nd Tottori UmiNami 250 last year, we regretfully had to shorten the course due to inclement weather.
We apologize for the significant inconvenience caused to all participants.
Many of you traveled from far away, yet were unable to fully experience the魅力 (charm) of the UmiNami Road.
We, the staff, truly appreciate your understanding and feel deeply responsible for the disappointment.

This Year’s Initiatives

Using last year’s experience as a guide, we have been preparing an event that fully showcases what “UmiNami” has to offer.
Because this course is challenging, we plan to delight you at the aid stations with some of Tottori’s finest local cuisine!
Enjoy unique delicacies that can only be found here, satisfying both your stomach and your heart.
We will also make every effort so you can savor Tottori’s stunning scenery, creating a memorable event for all participants.
Our team is working diligently to ensure that this year’s event leaves a lasting impression.

Event Guidelines

Overview

Event Name 3rd Tottori UmiNami 250
Format Cycling event following all traffic laws
Date Sunday, June 15, 2025 (Rain or shine with minor rain)

Eligibility

  • Healthy individuals aged 16 and over (minors must have parental/guardian consent)
  • Those who can follow all event rules, traffic laws, and proper riding etiquette
  • Those who agree to the terms in the waiver

Participant Limit

First 300 applicants

Entry Fee

12,000 yen (tax & insurance included)

Insurance

Injuries that occur during the event are covered within the scope of the accident insurance policy taken out by the organizer.

Equipment & Items to Bring

  • Properly maintained bicycle, helmet, and gloves (all required)
  • Lights and reflective materials are required; lights must be on while passing through tunnels
  • Carry a puncture repair kit, portable pump, and spare tubes
  • Carry adequate nutrition, drinks, rain gear, a mobile phone, and a mobile battery, etc.

This event is not a race. There will be no road closures.

Course

An ultra-long course of approximately 250km that goes back and forth along the "Tottori Uminami Road" overlooking the Sea of Japan.
Since the course is structured to return to the starting point after the turnaround point, you can also choose to retire upon reaching about 150km (the starting point).
For safety reasons, please be sure to notify the staff when retiring.

※ As there are some tunnels and sections with many ups and downs, please participate with proper safety measures and pace management.

Standard Course: Approximately 250km

The obtained elevation may be displayed slightly higher than the actual value. The actual elevation is approximately 1,592m.

Japan's Longest Short Course: Approximately 150km

※ Please be especially careful when riding during times with heavy traffic.

  • Until 19:00 PM – Finish time limit

If you exceed the time limit, you may be asked to retire from the event for safety reasons.
